Thomas Craley is a self-taught artist specializing in acrylic pour painting, though he works in a variety of mediums. You can find Thomas showcasing his work at Fine Arts Festivals throughout the summer, from Columbus to Ann Arbor, with a primary focus on the Toledo area and its surroundings.
A naturally creative individual, Thomas has always sought to inspire others to explore their artistic potential. He has worked with after-school programs, teaching digital art to elementary and junior high school students. Additionally, Thomas volunteers with the Toledo Arts Commission and the Sylvania Plein Air Festival.
In 2023, Thomas began teaching pour painting classes at various shops and boutiques. He now offers monthly workshops at venues such as the Toledo Artist Club, Copper Moon Studio, the 577 Foundation, and the Findlay Artist Club.
Thomas' talent has gained recognition in both local and national platforms. In late 2023, he was featured in Bold Journey and Canvas Rebel Magazine. His accolades include winning the Holistic Hands Wellness Gallery Art Expo in 2022 and being honored in the Save Our Planet Art Contest - Just Toledo in 2024.
Teaching Philosophy
"Acrylic pour painting is a liberating art form. I love incorporating unconventional household items into the creative process, rather than relying solely on traditional paintbrushes. For me, the essence of art is about having fun, free from the constraints of perfection. This approach encourages abstract artists to embrace their individuality and think outside the box. "
